Fine Feathers farm in Endon has started offering a wedding service for pets, where proud owners can watch their animals be ‘wed’ in their choice of ceremony.

The farm decided to start hosting weddings for pets after hosting a ceremony in August 2006 for two of their own dogs, Oscar and Freida. The two dogs gained instant fame after being the first pets to wed in the UK. There are many similar companies in the US but it doesn’t seem like this kind of service is drawing the same kind of attention in the UK.

Allerca have announced that their new "lifestyle pet", the Ashera cat, will soon be available to buy.

The company is in essence providing a service where you can get a cat that has been 'tailor-made' for the customer. The Ashera cats are cross-breeds of wild and domestic cats and are larger than your average house cat. They also have exotic markings but their most attractive characteristic is that they are hypo-allergenic. This means that even those people who are allergic to cats can own one of these.  Allerca started selling their standard house cats at the end of 2006  and now have a waiting list of two years for orders. Oxygen treatments have been hailed as a good way to detox your body, as well as working as an anti-aging treatment. They are also said to be good for curing ailments such as headaches. Companies such as O2 Planet  have been offering oxygen systems for sale and many spas offer oxygen treatments.

These services have all been for humans, but now one company has taken it that extra step further: home oxygen treatments for dogs.

AirPress, a Japanese company, will soon be offering the O2 dog, an oxygen chamber that is dog-sized. In this way, owners can give their dogs oxygen treatments at home instead of taking them to spas. Haruko started his photography career doing shoots at the San Francisco Zoo. Earlier this year, Sexy Beast (a fragrance for dogs) commissioned Haruko Foto to do a photoshoot for them and this gave birth to Pitter-Patter-Pet Pix, a deluxe photography service for pet owners.

A photography session (1,5 - 2 hours) with this studio costs $900 and includes one 11 x 14 image. The sessions are held at Haruko's studio in New York.
