Selfridges offer luxury shopping and dining

Yesterday saw the opening of the Wonder Room by Selfridges in London's Oxford Street, which offers the ultimate in luxury shopping experience.
The £10 million new section will house some of the most formidable names in fashion and will offer some exclusive items for sale, like the£ 311,000 Tiffany & Co. necklace that was designed by Jean Schlumberger. The 19,000 square foot area will offer various boutiques for selected fashion houses like Bulgari, Chanel and Hermes. Luxury mobile phone designer Vertu will also have their own boutique.

Club in Soho is first to introduce new bar technology

Twentyfour in London's trendy Soho is the first club to introduce the new iBar technology, which allows patrons to keep track of how much they are drinking simply by scanning their drinks on the table's surface.
The club only opened recently and prides themselves on being the most high-tech venue in London. It is now also the first interactive bar in the world. The iBar table has sensors that detect what you are drinking and can scan the shape of your glass. Objects placed on the table are illuminated in their positions and virtual objects can be 'touched'. Unusual design makes for unique dining experience

The Gilt Bar in New York is widely known for its impressive wine list and its 52 seat dining room. Now it is set to become even more well-known with its new oyster-shaped bar.
Designer Patrick Jouin has redesigned Gilt in a series of rooms in the New York Palace Hotel. The main attraction of the restaurant is the oyster-shaped bar and lilac essence, which makes it look like a futuristic film set.
